Cant help me, but mor i see of that game, it gets more intresting^^
Seams open world whit good made story based scripts, and a fulltime NPC
that learn stuff from your figths, and act full autonome, and can send to friends game, and comes back whit more knowlege

I bought this game two days before Release, guess it was the 23th of May.
Just wanted to give ya all a little review after 75 hours playtime.

First of all: Capcom rly know how to keep players motivated over a long time. And its not like in Skyrim where ya play the game mainly cause of the awesome story and quests. Its because you are on a hunt for better gear or stuff that you can use to upgrade your weapons and armor.
Everyone who played Monster Hunter before will feel rly familiar with the system of upgrading your armor and stuff. Each armor piece can be upgraded in 4 lvls. For the first 3 lvls you always need stuff that drops from Monsters which are crawling around the whole land of Gransys. Some items have a rly bad droprate so you forced to fight some BIG Monsters over and over to get the things ya need. For the 4th lvl ya need to kill a Wyrm and with some luck your lvl 3 armor will be upgraded after killin the beast. Good thing is that the fights are rly smooth and feel great to handle. That was one point of Skyrim that rly sucked.. Like you have your smithed Deadra Sword with a kickass enhancement and you are a god. Just go to Dragon/giant or what ever and smash the shit out of it by pressing the R-button like a monkey on crack and you´d be sure its dead after some hits . In Dragons Dogma you rly need some kind of tactic.. Each enemy got its special weak point. Also its third person perspective which looks pretty cool and rly feels way better to handle than the Third Person from other games likeTwo Worlds or Skyrim. You can climb up on the big ones like in God of Pain. So ya find yourself climbing up a Cyclope and smash your daggers right in its eye.. Then it starts goin ape shit an throw you off.. Better you not near a cliff xD
Sometimes you rly need to regroup your Party of four ppl with other jobs to kill one of those biggies^^ You can get up to 3 NPC in your Party which ya can recruit from Riftstones. Those NPC you recruit are MainPawns from other players around the world so you kinda feel like playin online, like checking the gear of the Pawn you recruit and see new stuff which ya can put on your "iwantthatrlybadList".
You create your own MainPawn the same way like you create your mainchar. (The charakter creation menu is one of the best i have ever seen. Way better then the one from other Games.) You can equip gear and lvl this mainpawn like you do with your mainchar. Sometimes you find yourself gearin your mainPawn better then your main char just to show other ppl your good gear and abilities ^.^.

Another nice thing is the Job system. Its kind a bit like in ffxi. You can lvl each job in the game and combine abilities from each job together to make your own class. Mainabilities from the jobs ya leveld can be stick so for example. You leveld Warrior to lvl 30 and got Def and Attack boost ability unlocked. After that you lvl Assasin which primary use Daggers and havent that much Attack but high attackspeed. So you put the Warrior abilities in your ability set to have more ATT for your Assasin. In total´there are 9 diffrent jobs you can choose durin the game and like 1000000000 ways how you can combine the abilities. Each job got its pirmary abs and secondary abs.. you can only stick primary abs with other jobs.. So its rly fun to do experiments on diffrent combinations.
The Inventory where ya can look up your gear (head, body, hands, legs, back, main and sub weapon, extras like rings and necks) are ok. Sometimes a little uncomfortable to handle but not that bad like in The Witcher xD.

The World Gransys on the other hand isnt that big like Skyrim. Its more like Oblivion without expansion packs^^. You will find diffrent terrain like deep forests, foggy swamps, giant moutains, castles dungeons etc etc. But you have no fast travel system. So if ya need to do a quest where ya need to walk around the whole country ya better get your Health drinks and Potions rdy before starting it xD. Also ya need lantern oil to fill your lantern up, cause in this game if its getting dark at night you cant see shit without it. Bad thing if ya walk into a dungeon and you figure out that ya lack on fckin oils but a look on the dungeons map tells you that you are already on the 5th floor >.<; Later in the game you can set crystals on specific points in the world but they are rly rare and cost a lot of money. So most of the time ya have to walk your way to your next target. Capcom managed it that you´ll never get pissed of those longwalks because ya will find nonscript Monsters like incredibly hughe Griffons, Chimeras and all that stuff along your way. Prolly ya need some drops from em so you happy to find one and fight it asap. Sometimes some soldiers walkin past the fight and will assist you and your group.

When ya grind your char to a certain level you start feeling like the game is gettin to easy BUT because Capcom did a great Job on the gamedesign you will get your challange back rly soon.. cant say more without spoiler so i shut my mouth. You can be sure even after 120 hrs of playin you will still have your challange.

The Storyline on the other hand isnt that great like the one from Skyrim or The Witcher 2 but still good. Alot of Sidequests are like bring me ten of this and 20 of that. But not all of em. Some are rly nice and fun to play.
The graphics are ok. no price winning graphic but especially when ya see these big Dragons, Griffins Hydras etc you will go "Wtf, look at that". Same for the spells, they look pretty nice.

In conclusion: Its not a Skyrim but a Monster Hunter with a nice and wide open world, lot to explore, many things to hunt. A good storyline, nice sidequests. Not that hard like Dark/Demon Souls but still challangin. Interesting pawn system. Awesome fights with good control and motivating gear hunt. There is rly only one thing that pisses me off....One thing that brings gamers piss to boil.-> Only one Savegame for each Account?! I dont kno if its because it uploads your MainPawns data to the DD-Server each time you go sleep or enter the rift. I just know i like to have two or three back up savegames just in case i messed up on a mission or killed an important NPC or a fcking gamebug comes up. Or to show an epic fight to a friend.. Well.. i can live with it but its rly the only thing i cant understand. Everyone who like Monster Hunter MUST get this game all others should rly take a look on it. Most fun game after Skyrim if ya ask me

Have fun^^

lol well, you are right.. the main storyline of Skyrim sucked.. Too much cliche..
but most of the Guild quest lines like thiefs guild or the one from the dark brotherhood were just awesome. Same for most of the deadra quest...

I´m looking forward to have your mainPawn in my Party face so go and get it!!.. And gratz ya finished your tests^^

yea^^ at the beginning its rly hard.... espacially like ya say the firtst chimera in the woods or the Oger down under the pawn guild... if ya grind your char abit it will become rly easy..... then the game makes a break and will give ya new challanges... like i already said in my review its rly a great designed game. Capcom did a great job. Combining diffrent job abilities will help also alot. I catch ya up on mondy and toss your pawn some nice items you can use. ^^

see ya then my taru

Looks pretty decent. Smile Still think the game is a bit overpriced here in Sweden like most games for xbox and ps3, I will probably buy it once it drops to a price tag I am willing to pay Razz
