AjaxAMP

AjaxAMP is a nice plugin for WinAMP

Well, I knew this plugin for longtime, but recently showed it to some of my friends. And they went like "WTF, why you havn't showed me earlier?"

What AjaxAMP do?
Well it can stream music-files in any direction.
All you need to do is copy the dll in WinAMP plugin directory. Start WinAMP and configure the plugin (under general plugins, doubleclick)
Set IP to your IP in LAN. Don't forget to index some music files within the plugin config. Thats the only downside: it doesn't use WinAMP libary.

To access any libary WinAMP needs to running.
Now start a browser and type "localhost:5151" or "127.0.0.1:5151" (both means the same, accessing your local PC).
You should see a WinAMP GUI. Left side is your WinAMP right side AjaxAMP libary. Now you can eg. change the libary at the bottom left.
eg: "192.168.0.x:5151" to access any libary on any PC in LAN. But there need to be WinAMP with AjaxAMP with a own libary too.
You can stream files from that to your PC.

You're also able to stream files from your computer to another WinAMP.

Works in both ways over WAN (Internet) too!

eg, you can access my WinAMP/AjaxAMP and stream your music files to my WinAMP from your local AjaxAMP libary. (and listen to that via my ShoutCast rofl)

Its a real cool plugin. You can listen to your music at home anywhere.

Wow, it has been years since I used WinAMP XD When I do play mp3s I use Foobar, but I do that so rarely now since I stream music from Grooveshark instead. But nice plugin for sure

To me WinAMP is somehow irreplaceable ^^
